Arm, shoulder, and elbow problems can be caused by a variety of factors.
However, there is no question that some tennis strings are much harsher on the arm than other strings.
And
there is no question that if the wrong strings are in your racquet or
if dead strings are in your racquet, they can exacerbate or even cause
tennis elbow and other arm injuries.
Unfortunately,
many pro shops and local retailers are in such a rush to do high volume
racquet stringing that they fail to take the time to ask tennis players
the right questions about their injury history to ensure that the
strings they are playing with are appropriate.
If
you are suffering from any arm, shoulder, or elbow pain, I will work
with you closely to make sure that the string and tension we select is
one that will help alleviate any pain you are experiencing. I
can also help you select a new grip for your racquet that may also help
reduce shock and thereby assist in alleviating your tennis elbow.
I
am also happy to help you research and locate a more arm-friendly
racquet that is best suited for your playing style.
Unfortunately,
many pro shops and local retailers cannot dispense unbiased advice in
this regard due to the fact that some racquets may be much more
profitable to sell than others notwithstanding the fact that they may
be inappropriate for some players.
At Stringing by Jonathan, you are guaranteed unbiased equipment advice.
