The
two primary pieces of stringing equipment that I use are the Prince
6000 electronic stringing machine and the Beers ERT 300 tennis
computer.
Shown
directly below is the state-of-the-art Prince 6000 stringing machine. It is
my pride and joy (next to my daughter Maya of course :)).

The
Prince 6000 electronic constant-pull stringing machine is a grand-slam
tournament quality stringing machine. Few retailers and pro
shops have a stringing machine that is as advanced as the Prince
6000. The machine features a high speed quad six-point
mounting system that securely locks the frame in place to minimize
frame distortion during the stringing process. The
Prince 6000 has a silencer tension head with a unique electro
mechanical design and microchip processing to provide unprecedented
accuracy, speed, and quiet operation. Moreover,
the machine possesses state-of-the-art diamond dusted versa clamps
to ensure minimal string slippage and ghosting during the stringing
process. In
sum, the Prince 6000 is a state-of-the-art piece of stringing equipment
that will help ensure that the quality of the stringing result
that you receive from Stringing by Jonathan is unmatched. In addition to the Prince 6000, the other piece of equipment that I use is the Beers ERT 300 (shown directly below).

The Beers ERT 300 is a Swiss-made tennis computer that measures the stringbed stiffness of a tennis racquet.
I use it in two primary ways:
(1) to measure and record the stringbed stiffness of each racquet that I string to ensure 100% consistency in stringing; and
(2) to periodically check the strings of clients so that they know when
they may be due for a restringing (as a general rule, when the
stringbed stiffness drops by approximately 15-20%, a person is due for
a restringing). |
